# 🌟 Talents
Talents are passive bonuses that you unlock and level up using Talent Points. They provide a wide range of stat boosts and special effects that define your character's build.
## Talent Points
There are two separate talent point pools:

Each pool has its own talent tree — experience talents cover general combat and utility, while monster hunting talents focus on hunting-specific bonuses.
## Talent Levels
- Most talents have a **base max level of 99**
- Some talents can go higher through **Mastery** — a special talent that increases the max level of related talents
- Each level increases the talent's effect linearly
## Mastery Talents
Mastery talents are special — they don't provide direct stat bonuses themselves. Instead, they **unlock higher max levels** on other talents in their group. This creates a progression chain where investing in mastery opens up stronger versions of other talents.
## Unlock Levels
Different talents unlock at different player/hunter levels. Some are available immediately, while others require significant progression to access. Higher-unlock talents tend to be more specialized or powerful.
## Tips
- Don't spread points too thin — focus on talents that complement your build
- Mastery talents are a long-term investment but unlock massive scaling potential
- Monster hunting talents are a separate pool, so don't neglect your Hunter rank
- Percentage On Top talents become increasingly powerful as your base stats grow
